Our Pain Solutions program, located at the Eleanor Slater Center for Excellence, was developed to meet the needs of individuals with chronic pain, who are opioid dependent. Working with our dedicated staff, patients develop alternative strategies for living in pain. After a complete bio-psych- social pain assessment, patients work with a pain specialist to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that may include supportive counseling, education, skills development, cognitive behavioral therapy, acupuncture and therapeutic message.
With a focus on the Mind Body connection the goal is to explore the patients’ relationship with pain, and learn new strategies to enchase their lives. This program is a minimum of twelve weeks during which time patients will participate in one individual and one group session weekly. Family
Pain Solutions Director, Dr. Frank Sparadeo, PhD., has been practicing neuropsychology for over 34 year and has developed the first program in Rhode Island to focus on chronic pain and addiction.
